I don't know how you do what you do...I was exhausted Friday night, hit the pillow at 8:30 pm as I was physically and emotionally drained (without the weight of the Santa Suit). I enjoyed every minute of watching you in action, quietly sneaking pics with patients whose parents were taking a snooze and never arousing them; softly speaking to a PICU patient whose loud moans hushed to a still quiet while you were there; posing for photos with staff who at first were very reluctant thinking you were only there for the patients and the incredible 'bonding' with dads who so desperately needed you to say "Santa does not shake hands, he gives hugs." Amazing! I am so blessed to be able to witness firsthand all that Santa's Gift truly is. All of those childhood memories of truly believing have flooded back since I met you and your cause.

I had the privilege to act as one of Mark's "elves" at Advocate Lutheran General Children's Hospital last week. What an experience! Mark outlasted all of us, and he was still in full-Santa mode even after eight hours. If you ever get the chance to accompany Santa on his rounds, please do it. The experience was amazing.

This is a tremendous program and a great gift to the children and parents in the hospital during the holidays. Seeing the look on the children's faces when they see Santa coming their way is enough to melt anyone!
